Aimee Levesque earned her Master’s in English at Buffalo State College and her Master’s in Library Science, with a concentration in School Library Media, at the University at Buffalo. She is currently completing her PhD in the Department of Learning and Instruction at the University at Buffalo and her dissertation focuses on arts integration and its impact on improving literacy and writing skills for persons with disabilities. She recently founded a theater company in WNY - Unique Productions (UP!) - that provides persons of all levels of ability with the opportunity to participate in theater. Also, because she clearly does not like sleep, Aimee was just appointed to a two-year term on New York State’s Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (DDPC) and in her leisure time (what little there is of it!), she participates as a league member in the Queen City Roller Girls (QCRG).
